ALL THE LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENTS FROM ALL COMMUNITIES INVOLVED, ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE ESCORT AS WELL AS THE LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF AND INDIANA STATE POLICE. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL ANYWHERE IN THE PARK BEFORE THE RIDE!! THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS STATIONED IN THE PARK!! NO CONTAINERS OF ANY KIND CONTAINING ALCOHOL MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE PARK!!
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute will be at Wicker Park in Highland, Indiana from 3pm September 26 to 3pm September 30, 2019. The tribute wall will be open 24 hours a day.
American Veterans Traveling Tribute (AVTT) is a multi-division Nationally recognized Veteran owned and operated small business. AVTT got their start through the improved construction of their 80% Traveling Vietnam Wall, while being a part of more than 300 events across America over the last 8 years.
AVTT prides itself on the support of our Armed Forces and continues our mission of Honor Respect Remembrance for our fallen and serving men and women in uniform. Additionally, AVTT allows those without the means or ability to travel to our great national memorial sites to pay respect and share in the experience of honoring our heroes.
VICTORY FOR VETERANS MEMORIAL RIDE

On behalf of the North Township Trustee and American Veterans Motorcycle Riders Association, we thank you for all your support in past years. We have tentatively scheduled the next annual Victory for Veterans Memorial Ride for Sunday, September 26, 2021. Please check for more information as it becomes available.
Major General John Borling (USAF, Ret)
A highly decorated officer, Borling’s awards include: the Defense Distinguished Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster, Distinguished Flying Cross with oak leaf cluster, Bronze Star Medal with “V” device and two oak leaf clusters, Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Medal with five oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, and the Prisoner of War Medal. He served in the Air Force from 1963-1996, being captured after being shot down in Vietnam becoming a POW in Hanoi for 6 ½ years. He was released February 12, 1973.
